Jason Lau's photographic series "Taken There" are intimate portraits that aim to explore an unguarded moment, where the viewer is given little clues of context but is asked to experience the subjects presence.
Blurring the boundaries between staged and documentary photography, these images are like the spaces between conversations, each presenting its own possibilities and confronting the awkwardness of stillness.
